The First Step to Creating Wealth in Network Marketing


The Why!

Do you want to obtain wealth?  Let me ask you a very important question:  "Why?"  Your answer to this question will determine the the outcome of your quest for wealth.

Why are you in business right now, or why do you want go into business?  Why do you want to be wealthy?  If your why is not powerful enough, I can tell you right now that YOU WILL NOT MAKE IT!   

Success doesn't come because you WANT it.  It comes because you DESERVE it.  You have to fight for wealth.  You have to pay a price to achieve your dreams.  Nature does not hand things over to people on a silver platter.  You have to earn the right of passage to gain incredible success.

I like the way Jerry Clark puts it: you are either are a Rhino or a Cow.  A cow does not lead a difficult life.  They play it safe in the confines of green pastures (Can you say JOB?).  They hang out together letting life just pass them by.  Cows don't achieve much, they just eke out a common existence.  Rhinos, however, are chargers.  They are apart from the pack and have an aim in mind.  They don't settle for a common life; they seek the uncommon.  Compared to cows, they are few in number and there is a reason for that.

Now let's go back to the question, Why?  If the why is not big or strong enough, something will come along to deter you from pursuing your dream.  In my experience, the first to pour cold water on you will be your family and friends.  After all, they LOVE you!  They are looking our for "your?" best interests.  What will you do when they find out that you are in network marketing and are pursuing millionaire status and they call you crazy, nuts, a dreamer, irresponsible and the like?  What will you do when no one responds to your ads and the ones that do don't return your calls?  What will you do when your  checkbook dwindles and all hope is lost?  Will you quit or will you fight? The answer to these questions and your responses to the circumstances that life throws you will determine your ability to be wealthy.  If your WHY  is weak; you are through.

Successful and wealthy people are the minority, yet they possess the majority of the wealth.  Why?  Are they luckier, smarter, or more talented?  The real answer is that they searched their heart and determined what they wanted in life and fought for it.  Nothing deters you when your why is big enough.  What is your love?  What is the thing you hate?  What is your gift or talent?  Considering this will help you determine your why.

Personally, I hate poverty and debt.  I hate it more than anything!  I see what it does to couples, families, and friends.  Lack of wealth destroys.  Nothing is gained by lack.  On the other hand, I love providing abundantly for my family and giving without limitation when the need arises to do so.  I love helping others succeed.  I have taken this love-hate relationship and produced a big why!!!  I put lots of time into my business because of my why.  When I get tired or discouraged; it's the WHY that keeps me going!

It will be not different for you.  So right now, sit down and think about what you truly want.  Come up with a why and don't get up until you have one!  If you don't do this, GET OFF THIS WEBSITE, because you are not ready to create wealth, at least for now.

Once you have your why, you will need to come up with a goal and, what I call, a desire statement.  Your goal is a dream with a deadline.  You goal should be big, but believable.  The function of the desire statement will be to make it believable.

Here is a sample of a goal:

It is January 1st, 2008 and I am a millionaire.  My health is great, and I am enjoying the freedom that wealth brings.

The goal is written in the present tense for a future date.  Now to back up that goal and make it believable, you will need to write a desire statement.  This is tricky, because you have to BELEIVE and FEEL that what your are writing is real.
 
Here is an example of what not to write:

I am wealthy and have all I need in life.  When you go to read that statement you will FEEL that it is a lie.  You will FEEL like saying, "I am broke and surrounded by lack in my life."  Well, how do you deal with this?  Let's just add a few words and see how this FEELS:
 
An example of what to write:

"I am in the process of attracting all that I need to do, know or have to attract the ideal financial situation into my like and for this I am grateful."  By making the slight changes (underlined) I have produced a believable statement.  You can believe that you are "in the process," can't you?  The word "ideal" means, conceptual rather than something concrete.  Your can believe a concept, can't you?  Thus you have created a positive, yet believable statement. 

The desire statement can cover all areas that are related to your goal.  It could include things related to obtaining possessions, having all your credit cards and cars paid in full.  It can cover having the contant flow of money coming to you from both known and unknown sources, investment, etc.

Here are some great phrases to use when creating your desire statement:

      I am in the process of...
      I love the thought of...
      I love the feeling of...
      I am excited at the thought of...
      I am thankful for the thought of...
      The thought of having plenty of...

All of these phrases will banish unbelieve regarding your goal(s). 

Let's review:

         Sit down this think about your WHY and write it down.
         Write your goal in the present tense with a future date.
         Back up you goal with a believable desire statement.
         Review all of the above on a daily basis.

So, now you have the first and most important step to the obtaining of wealth.  Now go to work and I hope to hear of all you success in the near future.
